چکیده
The management of the hip capsule has been a recent area controversy in arthroscopy. Over past 5 years, there mounting biomechanical and clinical evidence that complete capsular closure is an important step to achieve best most durable outcome from Numerous studies laboratory have shown repairing capsulotomy during simulated arthroscopy establishes normal biomechanics. Multiple also reported improved outcomes less conversion total arthroplasty patients undergoing repair. We published improve after revision for repair defects. I think it safe say becoming standard care our field.

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to examine the hip capsule in a subset of symptomatic patients who underwent capsular closure during hip arthroscopy. METHODS All patients undergoing primary hip arthroscopy for femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) with routine capsular closure between January 1, 2012, and December 31, 2015, were eligible. INTRODUCTION Hip arthroscopy has become a standard procedure in the treatment of hip joint pain not related to osteoarthritis or dysplasia in the young and active patient. There has been increasing focus on the contribution of the hip capsule to function and on stability following hip arthroscopy. It has been suggested that capsular closure after hip arthroscopy may prevent microinstability and...
